Looking to buy a tablet that has an Android operating system, can It access the Android app market?

I haven't decided what device i want yet. I just need to know what devices will diffidently have the android app market.

It depends on the tablet. If it's a tablet made by a large, well known company such as Motorola, ASUS, or Samsung, then yes it'll be able to access the market. However, if you go on eBay and buy a no name tablet from some Chinese guy, chances are the market isn't going to work.

Before I get flamed, my company which is behind the times and is not looking to upgrade has programs in place that can only be accessed using a windows / windows explorer operating system. Android, Apple, Firefox, ect, all can not run the programs.

So can an android operating system be removed from a tablet and replaced by a windows operating system?

i am planning to get an android phone soon, which is running android 2.1.
2.2 is coming out soon, and I just wanted to know if i would be stuck with 2.1 until i got a new phone after my first android, or if there would be some type of update process.

For most of the high end Android phones, Google, HTC and Motorola will update them into the latest version automatically, the only difference is that they have different timeline due to customization of Android
