which doesn't have the decency to be device independent. Agree or disagree?

Answer
I agree.

You sound like a disgruntled iPhone developer.

I believe Google will be taking the initiative to unify android under one platform soon.

How to install Linux,Ubuntu, or Android on a Delstar DS700 netbook?

... huh?

Hi, bought myself a Delstar DS700 notebook with hope of installing another OS (it's running WindowsCE at the moment)...

I'd like a Linux OS or Android OS to run on this thing.

Uses a Samsung ARM 926EJ-S3C2450 processor.

Thanks in advance!

Answer
Go to ubuntu.com download a live cd iso. Burn it onto a disc. Restart your comp. Install it with the installer.

When creating Android OS for phones, how much of the Linux OS did they have to change?

Silvercat

1. Did they change the Linux Kernel?
2.Only the Linux kernel?
3.Did they have to change whatever needed to be changed, for every phone separately?
thanks

Answer
The operating system is the files that connect with the Kernel. The Kernel is nothing without the files except a file. So basically it is the files that they alter and modify to make the operating system. They may make some minor changes to the Kernel to make it function and operated based on the phones hardware.

Linux is two words put together in order to name the Kernel after the creator. Lin ux (Linus Torvalds ) Lin after Linus and ux after Unix.
