I just rooted my htc thunderbolt a few days ago, and im still all new to this, so i was just wondering will adding a custom rom delete everything only on the internal storage memory, or both the internal and external storage memory? and can anyone tell me exactly how to add a custom rom?

Download ROM Manager. This is what you'll use to install ROMs.
Installing a ROM on its own won't delete anything, but there is an option to "Wipe/Data and Cache" which clears everything off the phone, with the exception of your SDCard.
It's good to do a clean install when switching ROMs, so you'll probably want to get an application such as Titanium to backup your applications. If you choose to stick with that ROM, you can usually apply upgrades without wiping data, which will keep all your settings and apps as is.

The default texting (SMS) application on my HTC Thunderbolt is my favorite texting app. However, I just got the new Motorola Droid Razr Maxx and really dislike the texting app on this phone. Is there anyway to get the Thunderbolt texting app on this phone, or are there any very similar to the Thunderbolts?
