HTC:Wildfire, do you have to have internet access with the contract to use the Android Market?

or can i view the apps store online on my normal computer then transfer them to the phone?
ie. do i need to take the phone out with a internet access contract in order to get new apps?

You can view and download them from your pc to the phone if you have HTC sync installed on your PC.
android market does not have a full online database of all available apps, so perhaps search for the best apps online first then use the internet on your phone to download them.

Froyo 2.2 for the Wildfire is only available in Europe. USA (Altell) customers still run Eclair 2.0-2.1 and will NEVER see Froyo on their phones nor any updates from Altell... Lovely heh!

if your non-USA... then go to settings, About phone, system updates

if you USA... then your gonna have to root and custom ROM...

to root, do this:
