android mp3 player connected via USB to headunit of car will not play all of the music that is on the MP3 player. It only lists about 60 of the songs out of about 1,000.

Answer
Check if there are different folders on MP3?

If there are then you would find your songs by going through directory.

Other reason can be format!

can no contract smartphones be used like android mp3 players?

I would like to go with virgin mobile, but I was wondering if I could still use the phone after I activated it. What I'm trying to say is after I pay for a few months and stop. Can I still use it with just wifi after I run out of my month?

Answer
Yes you can. I use a few of my old Android phones that have no carrier service as WIFI only gadgets, basically the Android version of the iPod Touch. I connect on WIFI, can download and play games, use the browser over WIFI, and even use it as a portable music player with songs stored on the SD card and streamed music over Google Play Music.

How do I transfer my songs from iTunes to my T-Mobile Android G1 in MP3 format?

I bought most of my songs off of iTunes a couple of months ago. I tried transferring them but they are not mp3 so it wont play. It displays the songs as protected. Can anyone help?

Answer
The songs are DRM protected, you can't transfer them to another device.

Your solution is to burn the songs to a CD and then to rip them back in MP3 format using specialized software.
